Description
Michel Perchin Metropolitan Limited Edition Fountain Pen - #2 of 88 18k Gold Medium Nib Royal Blue and Vermeil Cap and Barrel, with translucent lacquer   New pen in inner and outer boxes - perfect, unused, mint condition!  The pen is a cartridge/converter filler (converter not included)   In 1995, Renaissance Pen Company acquired the name Michel Perchin and began to produce fine writing instruments and other one-of-a-kind creations.  The founder of Renaissance Pen Company, an artist, and entrepreneur began to create and re-create many of the spectacular pieces commissioned over the past decade. In 2004, a group inspired by the amazing works and accomplishments acquired a majority of Renaissance Pen Company (Michel Perchin). This group is headed by Abel Bullock the current President of Michel Perchin and is focused on creating these most marvelous writing instruments, and expanding operations into other products and one-of-a-kind pieces. The company is named Michel Perchin, after the man who headed Peter Carl Faberge’s workshop from 1885 to 1903.  Depite his exalted position, he was a self-taught goldsmith from a peasant background.  It was Perchin who created the Imperial Easter Eggs, as well as many other great works that have become the hallmark of the Faberge brand.  His leadership of the inner circle of Faberge artisans helped to firm its position as the official jeweller of Russian Imperial Royalty.    The Metropolitan Regal design catches the eyes and won't let go.  Inspired by the Metropolitan architecture of the late 1800s and early 1900s, the Metropolitan pen represents the magnificence of humanity's creative vision in the designing of cities.  Each instrument is crafted from a solid rod of .925 sterling, guilloche engraved, then made lustrous with colour by multiple layers of translucent enamel.  The result in your hand is a functional objet d'art, resonant with old world craftsmanship and modern sophistication.  As this is one of Perchin's finest collections, it is an absolutely essential piece for any serious collector of high-end fountain pens.   Retail List Price:  $3,400   The length of the pen is 6" long when closed (capped) and is more suitable for using as an uncapped pen.  This model is very difficult to find at auction in mint condition, and is therefore in high demand among expert pen collectors. Do not miss this excellent opportunity to bid for this classic pen!    This collector's pen is guaranteed to be 100% genuine - please bid with confidence!   I am offering this beautiful classic fountain pen at a 'no reserve' and 'no minimum price' auction.    Pay instantly with your debit or credit card through PayPal.
