The magnificent detail and texture of the body / barrel and cap are of the legendary figure of Prometheus, God of Forethought and given the task of moulding mankind out of clay.  Prometheus, known for his wily intelligence, who stole fire from Zeus and gave it to mortals for their use, is credited with (or blamed for) playing a pivotal role in the early history of humankind.  Thus, Stipula has taken this pen as an art object to symbolize the courage, boldness and bravery of expression in writing . . . truly a new realm of excellence and value.   Materials? . . . Sterling Silver (925) and Black Cellulose Acetate with the craftsman's signature . . . "P.
